Weirton Volunteer Fire Company #1 is the original owner
of a fully restored 1917 Ford/American LaFrance Chemical Pumper. The area's
original powered fire apparatus, this pumper is one of only two known to
exist; its virtual twin is owned by Niagara Fire Company, Merchantville,
NJ. The 'T' predates the founding of the city of Weirton by a quarter of
a century.
